- How information is shared
As a domain name registrar, RegistrarSEC is required to disclose information as required by ICANN specification and policies, including in the following circumstances: (1) domain name registration data is available to the public for free query-based access via a Registration Data Directory Service (WHOIS); (2) domain related data, including communications between RegistrarSEC and customers, are made available to ICANN and domain name registries pursuant to their applicable rules and regulations; (3) RegistrarSEC must escrow domain related data as often as is required to reputable third parties appointed by ICANN or domain registries; and (4) third parties are able to access WHOIS data in bulk provided such third parties agree not to use them improperly such as for the transmission of spam or unsolicited email.
In addition to the disclosures explained in this policy, RegistrarSEC may also share your information with your permission, or in the following circumstances:
- With other companies that are within the family of related companies legally part of the same group of companies, such as Facebook.
- If the ownership or control of all or part of our Services or their assets changes (e.g. we may transfer your information to the new owner).
- With vendors, service providers, or other partners, who work at our direction to support the Services.
We may also share de-identified or aggregate data with others. De-identified data means information from which we have removed your name or contact information. Aggregate data is data that has been combined with other data so that it doesn’t identify any specific person.
